The Houthi (Shee’ah) attack on Ahlus Sunnah

November28

As Salaamu Alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatu,

The recent occurrences in Dammaaj, Yemen have brought a lot of sadness to our hearts. The sadness comes from the direction that many of the Muslims are not even speaking about this great transgression of the Rawaafidh Shee’ah on Ahlus Sunnah.

Where are the people who defend the Shee’ah? Where are the people who don’t want to criticize? The Houthis have blockaded the city. Supporters of revolution, where are you??

Until now, many brothers have died. Pregnant women killed. Brothers are fighting these filthy Houthis who shed the blood of Ahlus Sunnah like it is worth nothing.
Make Du’aa for our brothers and sisters and aid them in anyway that you can.

Bayyan from the Kibaar Al ‘Ulama about protests

March7

Refuting a common doubt about rebellion

February27

Shaykh Jamaal Al-Haarithee -hafidhahullaah- brings some very important points in refuting a doubt which has been spread regarding the rebellion of the early Salaf.

The Shaykh brings 7 perspectives in refuting this doubt.

Shaykh Jamaal says:

This doubt is very strong and the people of knowledge of the past and present have spoken about it and we want our brothers that don’t stop upon the statements of the people of knowledge in their refutation of this doubt, to stop upon it and let it be a chain and strength to stop in front of the people of innovations and desires.

The points the Shaykh brings up are as follows:

1. The Qur’aan and the Sunnah formulate the basis of our Manhaj when it comes to differences of opinion

2. We take the clear rulings and statements over the mutashaabihaat (unclear)

3. The rebellion of Al-Hussayn and Ibn Az-Zubayr were due to their Ijtihaad

4. The purpose of Al-Hussayn going to ‘Iraaq was not to rebel against Yazeed

5. The majority of the Sahaabah and Taabi’een opposed these actions of rebellion

6. The rebellion against Al-Hajjaaj was Ijtihaad and not due to transgression (Fisq)

7. The consensus of the prohibition of rebelling came after these occurrences

The position of a Muslim towards Fitnah – Shaykh Saaleh Al Fawzaan

February26

The following are some of my notes from a class I was in with Shaykh Saaleh bin Fawzaan Al Fawzaan back in March 18th, 2008 on a Tuesday in Masjid Kanoo (Sa’ad Al-Ghamdi’s Masjid). The notes are partial translation as I could not write that fast.

The Shaykh حفظه الله begins with the بسملة Basmalah and by praising Allaah and sending the Salaah and Salaam upon the Messenger of Allaah

To Proceed:

Verily the Prophet of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم was send by Allaah with the guidance the the True Religion.

The guidance is: Beneficial Knowledge
The True Religion: is Righteous Actions

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was sent for knowledge and action, and he called to Allaah, and he made a correct and True struggle (Jihaad) and he came across harms and he was patient until Allaah manifested the Religion as Allaah says in this Ayah:

((It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islaam), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikun hate (it).)) (Surah at-Tawbah: 33)

And in the end of his life, he advised his Ummah with an important advice against the deviances in the religion, from that warned his Ummah and his Sahaabah with a stern warning as it comes in the Hadeeth of ‘Irbaadh bin Saariyyah

((The messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم gave us a warning after the Salaatul Ghadaa a strong warning which causes sadness to the eyes and softens the heart so a man said: This warning sounds a farewell warning so what do you advise us with O Messenger of Allaah? and he said: I advise you to have taqwaa of Allaah and to hear and to obey, even if an Abyssinian slave becomes your leader. Those of you who live long after me will see a lot of differences, so hold fast to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs after me. Cling to it tightly and beware of newly-invented matters, for every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance, and all misguidance is in the Fire.))

(Related by Aboo Daawood (no. 4607), at-Tirmidhee (no. 2676). The addition: “…and every misguidance is in the Fire.” was narrated by al-Bayhaqee (10/114) and other than him)

This Hadeeth is a very important advise for the Ummah, from those who know about the Fitan (trials) and the Evil and the callers to deviance, those who do not cease to call away from the path of Allaah and actions upon misguidance and deviance, those who desire to deviate the Muslims, from the Jews and the Christians and Mushrikeen and the Mulhids and the Munaafiqeen, all of them will call to and divide against this religion and this is why he advised the Ummah with holding fast to his Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Khulafaa’ ar-Raashideen, so that the people are cleared from this differing.

And he صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

((I leave behind you something that if you hold on to it then you will never go astray after, The Book of Allaah and My Sunnah))

(Reported by Bukhaaree and Muslim)

And he صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

((I left you upon a clear white path, its night is like its day, no one deviates from it except one who is destroyed))

(Sunan Ibn Maajah (no. 43 “Ittibaa’ Sunnatul Khulaafaa ar-Raashideen al-Mahdiyyeen))

And like this Hudhayfah bin al Yamaan

((The people used to ask about the good, and I would ask about the evil fearing that it will overtake me))

(Reported by Bukhaaree)

And this has a great understanding, that it is not sufficient to just ask about the good and study the good alone, but it must be asked about the opposite of it.

For if the people learn the Good and they do not learn the opposite of it to warn from it and avoid it, then he will fall into it out of not knowing or thinking that it is good.

So the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked in the long Hadeeth of Hudhayfah bin al Yamaan رضي الله عنه:

((I said: ‘O Prophet of Allaah, verily we used to be in ignorance and evil, then Allaah brought us this good, so after this good will there come evil?’

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: ‘Yes.’

I said: ‘And after this evil, will there come good?’

He said: ‘Yes, but it will be tainted (lit: in it is dakhn).’

I said: ‘And what is dakhn?’

He said: ‘People calling to other than my guidance. You will approve of some of what they say and disapprove of some.’

I said: ‘So, will there be evil after this good?

He said: ‘Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the gates of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitation will be thrown into it.’

I said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), describe these people to us.’

He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: ‘They will belong to us and speak our language.’

I said: ‘What do you order me to do if this should happen during my life?’

He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: ‘Adhere to the group of Muslims (Jamaa’ah) and their leader.’

I then asked: ‘And if there is no group or leader?

He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: ‘Keep away from all of the different sects, even if you have to bite upon the root of a tree until you die in that state.’”))

So he mentioned that there will be people who will bring into this deen what is not from it, and this is the Dakhan. And after this will come good, because Allaah will give some good days and bad days to mankind.

Allaah says:

((And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns)) (Surah Aal Imraan: 140)

The innovation and hatred but there will not always be evil alhamdulillaah. But this the Muslims should not despair because the good will come and good will come from the people of Good as the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

((There will never cease to be a group from my ummah manifest upon the Truth, they will not be harmed by those who oppose them or differ with them, until the arrival of the Hour))

(Reported by Muslim in his Saheeh 3/1523 and Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad (5/278) and Abee Daawood in his Sunan (4/420) and others)

He also mentioned that there will be callers to evil and call the people to the doors of the Hell and misguide them, like in our times and you are in the times where this is present, so they say go with the people like we hear now. And these people misguide and call away from the deen and these people will exist as the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, callers to the Fire, they will exist:

((They are the ones who call to the Fire and Allaah calls to the Jannah))(Surah al-Baqarah: 221)

There are people who call to the Fire, the Shaytaan…

Allaah says:

((Surely, Shaitan (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.)) (Surah Faatir: 6)

So like there are callers to the Good, beside them there are callers to the Evil, and like there are callers to the Jannah there are callers to the fire.

And they do not say to the people: “Come to the Fire”, they say “Come to the good” and like this, but they wear the clothing of good and mislead the people those who have confusion and the likes of this.

So those who follow them will fall into their evil and the fire. And it’s understood that those who disobey them then they are saved from it, so it upon us to warn against them.

So Hudhayfah رضي الله عنه asked to describe them, and he صلى الله عليه وسلم described them as people from us who speak with our language, so then look at the doubt… we would not know. What was his advise? To hold fast to to the Jamaa’ah of the Muslimeen and the Imaam of the Muslimeen, just as was said in the Hadeeth of ‘Irbaadh bin Saariyyah رضي الله عنه to hear and obey the Imaam even if he is a slave, and do not listen to the groups of misguidance and the people who call away from the Imaam and the Jamaa’ah.

Allaah says:

((And hold fast to the rope of Allaah and do not differ)) (Surah Aal Imraan)

And he warned us from splitting,

((And do not be from those who split))

And the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم warned us from splitting and differing and disobeying the rulers over us, the Wulaat al Umoor.

((Whoever splits from the Jamaa’ah and dies, then his death is a death of Jaahiliyyah))

And this death is a death of Jaahiliyyah because in jaahiliyyah they had no Imaam or leader over them and this is from the aspects of Jaahiliyyah.

So he was asked if a Jamaa’ah was not present then what to do?

Look at Hudhayfah رضي الله عنه, he asked how many questions? He was not sufficed with just one question so he can learn and know. So the reply was to leave all the groups, all of them.

So stick with what the Messenger of Allaah and the Sahaabah were upon and hold fast to it with your molar teeth.

So avoid all of the groups and stick with the Sunnah, and even if you are by yourself.

And this was the advice of the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم that we hold fast to the Quraan and Sunnah and we avoid all the deviant groups, and stick with the Imaam and the Jamaa’ah.

He said:

((Isolate yourself from all the sects even if you must bite down on the roots of a tree))

(This Hadeeth has been recorded by al-Bukhaaree (13/35) and Muslim (4/514))

((Indeed the people who came before you from the People of the Book split into 72 sects, and indeed this nation will split up into 73 sects: 72 in the fire and one in Jannah, and they are the Jamaa’ah))

(This was reported by Imaam Ahmad and others and al-Haafidh graded it as Hasan)

In another narration there occurs:

((All of them in the fire except one way: What I and my Companions are upon))

(And this was narrated by at-Tirmidhee and is graded as Hasan by al-Albaanee in his Saheeh al-Jaami’ 5219)

This is the path of success, like in the statement of Allaah:

((And verily this is My Path, so follow it, and do not follow other paths for they will separate you away from His Path))

So there is no salvation except with the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah.

This was the advice of Allaah and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم and we leave the rest for Questions.

Shaykh Zayd Al-Madkhalee advises the brothers in Libya

February24

Shaykh Zayd Al-Madkhalee said:

(Please be aware that the first translation of this was hastily done using an incomplete transcript of the advice. The Shaykh updated the statement -Click to see the updated Arabic – The translation has been updated with the changes and improved for clarity by recommendation of Brother Musa Richardson. If you have sent out the earlier translation via email, please resend the corrections. BarakAllaahu feekum.)

All praise is due to Allaah. May the Salaat and Salaam be upon the Messenger of Allaah and his family and companions.

To Proceed:

We regret (what happened in) this place and we work with your situation and you know that it is the Qadr (predisposition) of the One who predisposes (Allaah) and we believe in the Qadr and in patience and perseverance and make effort in repulsing the evil .

So my advice to the students of knowledge like yourselves in this Fitnah (trial) and Mihnah (calamity):

Firstly: To seek refuge with Allaah and make Du’aa with establishing the obligations (Faraa’idh) and the optional prayers (Rawaatib), and to increase in supplication (making Du’aa) in the latter part of the night that Allaah removes from you what has afflicted you of the Fitnah. And Allaah has promised you that He will answer you, just as He -azza wa jall- has said:

And your Lord said, Call upon Me and I will answer you” So supplicate with confidence that He will answer.

Secondly: If the situation with these forces is that they are attacking you without respecting the sanctity (rights of the people) and the wealth and blood (honor) then you should stay in your homes and firmly close the doors. And whoever forces and enters upon you and opens the doors, then repel him to protect your wealth, selves, and blood from transgression. Repel him with the least force and if he rejects it then repel him with what you are able.

The reality is that the ruling upon the aggressor in the legislation is that he is fought and if he is killed then he’s in the Fire. The victim, if he is injured or killed and he is from the Muslims, then he is in the Heaven as a Martyr just as the the Prophet -salallaahu alaihi salam – informed with that. Defend with the least force and lock the doors. I emphasize that the defense should be with the least force necessary. In the case that the oppressor does not refrain (with the least force), it is allowed that he be  fought (with more force), and it is obligatory in the case that he wants to transgress the wealth, dignity, and blood. So defend with the least force and close the doors and preserve the sanctity and dignity and we ask Allaah to remove this Fitnah in a short time and resume security and remove fear.

Wa Salaamu ‘Alaikum and pass my Salaam to your brothers.

Shaykh Saaleh as Suhaymee advises about the Fitan

February23

Shaykh Saaleh bin Sa’ad as-Suhaymee said:

Perhaps I should mention something about this issue, and it is entering these demonstrations that are occurring in the Islaamic lands, whether it is about the ruler or about oppression or about oppositions. For entering these demonstrations is the act of the Masons, the Jews, it is not from the act of the Muslims and Islaam has never spoke of it and it does not have any evidence from the legislation. It is not taken as a ruling from those who issued rulings for it from those who are hasty, such that they say that those who killed themselves are martyrs, and the Prophet –salallaahu alaihi wa salam- said:

((Whoever kills himself then he’s in the fire))

So we free ourselves from these Fataawa (rulings) and from its people even if it is mentioned on the broadcasts and other than them and the corrupted channels. This speech as well… narrate it from me. Sufficed to say that these demonstrations are promoted by three:

-          The West and what’s with them from America and Europe.

-          The Raafidhah, regardless of whether they are from Iran or Hizb ash-Shaytaan (so-called, “Hizbullah”) or other than them from the lands of Shaam or other than that.

-          Like that the third type are the secularists and the liberalists and the atheists that want to erase the religion and they want to cover the light of Allaah with their mouths and Allaah will complete His light even though the disbelievers hate it.

So tell the brothers that entering these demonstrations and strikes whatever the ruler is, then this action is not correct. And it permits the enemies of Islaam to enter the ranks of the Muslims, and it suffices that in some of the countries it mixes the “Haabil” and “Naabil”, the Raafidhee with the Jew with the Christian, with the callers to the Sunnah with the mobs with the adulterers with the homosexuals with the liberals and with the secularists and with all the criminals that enter these demonstrations.

So I advise myself and my brothers, Ahlus Sunnah, to not enter them and stay close to your homes and to distance yourself from the Fitan (trials). If it comes to you then defend yourselves, however to enter into these demonstrations whatever being oppressed or whatever the matter is, then that is not from the legislation. Rather it is a principle from the principles of the Masons and world Zionists.

May Allaah make everyone firm upon what He loves and is pleased with, and may the Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions.

This as well should be recorded and spread.

An Answer Regarding what is Happening in Libya

February22

Shaykh ‘Aayid bin Khaleef Ash-Shimmarree -Hafidhahullaah-

Original post from Sahab

All praise is due to Allaah, and may the Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon the Messenger of Allaah. To Proceed:

This is an answer to some of the questions that have come from some of the brothers in Libya regarding the occurrences in the country from killing and partisanship. So the answer is what follows, and with Allaah is the Tawfeeq:

It is not permissible to join in any fighting which has killing  others and that is because the fighting has fighting between the Muslims themselves and its situation is that of commotion and disorder and it leads to Fitnah (trials and tribulations) and terrible fighting between the sons of the Muslims.

It is obligatory to defend the self, the family, the children, the wealth, and the country that its people are fighting and bringing to the brink of extinction, and killing its people due to an oppressive aggressor. And it is from the defensive Jihaad and from the obligatory Jihaad in the situation of the enemy who invades his country and wants to kill its people.

The Messenger of Allaah -salallaahu aalihi wa salam- said:

((The one who is killed protecting his wealth is a Martyr, the one who is killed protecting his family is a Martyr, the one who is killed protecting his blood – or protecting his religion: is a Martyr.)) Reported by Aboo Daawood and at-Tirmidhee  and other than them and it is authentic.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen -May Allaah have Mercy upon him- said in his explanation of Zaad:

His statement: ‘or the enemy invades his country’ this is the second point, if the enemy is invading his country then it is obligatory upon him to fight defending the country, and this is similar to those who attend the ranks in fighting because if the enemy invades the country then he will prevent leaving the country or entering it and what provisions are to come to them and other than that and that what is known. So in this situation it is obligatory for the people of the country to fight defending their country.” From the book of Jihaad 8/8.

And perhaps this answer prevents fighting between the Muslims and establishing a civil war between them from one direction. And protecting the Muslims from their enemy and defending their cities and villages and families and themselves against those who attack them with weapons from another direction.

I ask Allaah -’Azza Wa Jall- to manifest the Truth and aid its people and stop the plots of the enemies of Islaam and the Muslims in their throats. I ask Allaah -’Azza wa Jall- to preserve Libya and its people with his protection and suffice evil from them and pacify their hearts between them and remove them from this Fitnah.
